Each month in Monroe County, restaurants and other organizations that conduct food preparation are subject to health inspection violations. It is a good thing that Monroe County has health inspectors who visit restaurants each month to check things like their food storage, cleanliness, and if there are insects. etc.
Some restaurants receive critical violations, such as “Food workers do not use proper utensils to eliminate bare hand contact with cooked or prepared foods.” Others receive non-critical violations like, “Food contact surfaces not washed, rinsed and sanitized after each use and following any time of operations when contamination may have occurred.”
