NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast in August 2005, leaving behind widespread destruction and changing thousands of lives forever.

Douglas Callais remembers the effects of Hurricane Katrina like it was yesterday.

He had been working in Minnesota as a general contractor when the hurricane devastated the U.S. Gulf with a catastrophic storm surge and flooding.
