‘It’s a failure’: EC teacher affected by WS/FCS job cuts worried for students

FORSYTH COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools was supposed to let almost 270 people know they were losing their jobs by the end of last week, but there was a delay, and dozens of people received notice earlier today, on a holiday afternoon.

Interim Superintendent Catty Moore told the board last month that the reduction in force to save $18 million was critical, or the district would not make payroll this month.
