STAFFORD, N.Y. – A second-alarm fire severely damaged a cottage on Seven Springs Road in the town of Stafford, Genesee County. The fire occurred Saturday morning, causing significant destruction to the home.
Fire officials said the blaze started in the living room and quickly spread, leading to the collapse of the roof. The absence of fire hydrants on the road complicated firefighting efforts, said Stafford Fire Chief Tim Eckdhal.
