Tinley Park, Illinois — Police Search Woods in Forest Preserve Near 159th Street; Drones Deployed for Mental Health Crisis

Tinley Park, IL – A multi-agency search is underway in a Tinley Park forest preserve for a man reportedly experiencing a mental health crisis.

According to the Village of Tinley Park Public Safety, police and fire units from Tinley Park, along with officers from the Cook County and Oak Forest Police Departments, began searching earlier today in the Forest Preserve area between 159th Street and Oak Park Avenue to Central Avenue. Authorities say the man called 911 before disappearing.

The subject is described only as a 45-year-old white male. Officials say he was last seen in or around the preserve area and was in distress during the 911 call…
