[1] Town of Estancia asking for more water infrastructure funding after setbacks – After months of water issues, the town of Estancia has announced that it finally has access to its well again, with plans to replace the old well soon. Mayor Nathan Dial stated that the problems have been escalating due to increased water usage in the area. He says the town has been working on securing a new well since 2017. Once approved, it would take between six to 18 months to complete construction of the new well.

[2] Arrest made in overnight NE Albuquerque homicide – APD arrested 56-year-old Keith Thompson in connection with a shooting. They say Thompson is accused of shooting a man during an argument in the parking lot at 525 San Pedro Dr. NE. Thompson is charged with an open count of murder and shooting at or from a motor vehicle and will be booked into MDC.

[3] Labor Day storms, muggy, & breezy – Temperatures will continue to cool off slightly for Labor Day. Storms will bring a threat of heavy rainfall and flash flooding. Lightning will also pose a risk to any outdoor activity. Tuesday will bring another round of isolated afternoon storms, especially in the mountains and nearby areas.
