CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — A Hixson woman has pleaded guilty to her role in the 2022 death of her stepson, but prosecutors removed all but one charge against her, saying her husband was the one who was primarily responsible for his disabled son’s death.
Jacqueline Hoover pleaded guilty to aggravated neglect of an adult in Hamilton County Criminal Court on Tuesday.
The 44-year-old victim, who police say had the mental capacity of a 5-year-old, died in late June 2022, after he was admitted to the hospital for severe malnutrition and dehydration.
