Former SC correctional officer among those accused of sending drug-laced paper to 14 prisons

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WBTV) – A former correctional officer and two other South Carolinians were arrested after allegedly sending books with drug-laced paper to at least 20 inmates in 14 prisons, the Department of Corrections announced.

According to the SCDC Inspector General, the arrests happened on Wednesday, Aug. 27.

Agents said they took 666 sheets of synthetic marijuana (also known as K2)-soaked paper and 241 suboxone strips from March to June, all sent through the Woodruff Post Office…
