HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — This October, Huntsville will host two events honoring the legacy of the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu, the harrowing U.S. military operation that claimed 18 American lives and left an enduring mark on the nation’s military history.
The Redstone-Huntsville Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) is presenting An Evening in Mogadishu: Remembering Black Hawk Down and A Legacy Remembered: The Families of Black Hawk Down to share the stories of those who fought—and those who waited at home.
