ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Roanoke Police Department confirms there is no threat to the public after a large police presence on Valley View Boulevard Monday evening.

Police say they responded to a report of a shooting on the 4700 block at 6:34 p.m. Officers at the scene checked multiple businesses and found no shooting had occurred.
RPD is investigating.
