ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A local donut shop is apologizing for a now-removed social media post about them facing staffing issues.

Back in April, WROC reported on the Ridge Donut Cafe’s challenges amid a tight labor market. On Monday, the cafe posted a social media post explaining it is facing staffing issues, but has since taken it down.

Ridge Donut Cafe posted a new statement on social media saying the original post received backlash. They apologized to those who felt hurt by the post.

Tuesday’s statement addressed people who claimed to have applied to the bakery but did not hear back. The owners explained they either didn’t see some of the applications, they didn’t believe some of the applicants were good matches, or they took a break going through applications…
