Magnitude 4.2 earthquake shakes Northern Baja California, felt in San Diego County

(FOX 5/KUSI) — A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck Northern Baja California late at night on Monday, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The quake was registered at 11:41 p.m. and was first measured as magnitude 4.7 before being brought down to magnitude 4.2.

The earthquake’s epicenter was about 6 miles deep and a few miles northeast of the community of Lázaro Cárdenas, about 165 miles southeast of San Diego and 75 miles southeast of Ensenada…
