AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The Amarillo Economic Development Corporation and International Aerospace Coatings will host a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday for the incoming widebody airplane hangar on the grounds of the Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport.
The groundbreaking will mark the beginning of construction for IAC’s 79,000 square-foot widebody airplane hangar, according to organizers, after the recent establishment of a 50-year lease on airport property for the hangar and additional storage. Organizers expressed hopes that the project will represent significant growth for the city’s aviation industry.
