After leading the Lobo women with a third-place individual finish in her collegiate debut Saturday at the Lori Fitzgerald Open, New Mexico’s Millie McLelland-Brooks has been named Mountain West Freshman of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
The Scottish true freshman was the highest finisher for the Lobos in their annual 5K rust-buster at the Lori Fitzgerald Open, crossing in 17:39.78 — the second-fastest D-1 finisher in the race.
