Mayor Woodfin honors ‘big brother’ Griffin Lassiter on retirement from city

Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin honored long-time city staff member Griffin Lassiter on Tuesday during the Birmingham City Council meeting on Lassiter’s retirement after 25 years working for the city as a senior project manager.

Lassiter’s high-profile projects include putting together a property deal for the Barber Motorsports Museum and racetrack and putting together incentives to keep Coca-Cola United Bottling Co. in Birmingham.
