Thud. In terms of a debut, things really could not have gone much worse for former Tennessee football 5-star signee and standout quarterback Nico Iamaleava with UCLA. In front of a half-empty stadium, the Bruins were demolished at home by the Utah Utes.
The final score was 43-10, which no one expected. Iamaleava had his struggles on the night too, throwing for only 136 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He was 11-of-22 on his attempts, which was downright wild.
The main issue for Nico in this one? He continues to be inconsistent throwing the ball. This was something Vols fans knew all about last season, but now the UCLA faithful is seeing it first hand.
