Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Arrests 23 Impaired Drivers Over Labor Day Weekend

Authorities note a decrease in arrests compared to last year, but highlight a sobering case of a repeat offender found asleep at the wheel.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) announced Tuesday that 23 impaired drivers were arrested over the Labor Day weekend, a number authorities say is a positive sign that more people are making responsible choices.

From Friday, August 29, through Monday, September 1, HCSO collaborated with other law enforcement agencies to conduct heightened patrols and enforcement efforts aimed at keeping the county’s roads safe. The weekend’s efforts resulted in the arrest of 23 individuals for driving under the influence (DUI).
