Chicago Police Search For Burglary Suspect After Break-Ins In Mayfair Neighborhood

CHICAGO — Police are investigating a series of early morning burglaries in the Mayfair neighborhood on the city’s Northwest Side, after a man forced his way into three homes within an hour on Sunday, Aug. 30.

Break-Ins Reported Around 2 A.M.

According to the Chicago Police Department, the break-ins happened between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m., with the suspect entering homes through back doors and kitchen windows.

Once inside, the man stole cash, cigarettes, and cellphones, police said.

The reported incidents include:

  • 2:14–2:20 a.m. — 4600 block of North Kennicott Avenue
  • 2:52 a.m. — 4600 block of North Kasson Avenue

Suspect Description Released

Police described the suspect as a man with a slender build, dark hair, and a thin mustache. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue pants, and white gym shoes
