Following the shooting that took a life and left another wounded at an apartment complex on North Braeswood Boulevard, Houston police have now apprehended a second suspect. In a development announced today, Miles Julian Edwards, a 19-year-old man, faces charges of capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. These charges are lodged in the 339th Criminal District Court, according to a news release from the City of Houston.
Previously, another suspect, 18-year-old Zion Armon Mitchell, was charged with the same offenses in connection to the case. The violent incident on May 24 resulted in the death of 18-year-old Kenneth Leaks. The connection between the suspects and the crime was established through an investigation that has led to both individuals being charged with serious offenses.
