LUBBOCK, Texas — Hudson Downard is a two-year-old boy who was recently diagnosed with a rare condition called Gould Syndrome. Before this, Hudson suffered a stroke in the womb which caused his brain to stop developing. Having been dealt this hand, Hudson has defied all odds.
“He wasn’t supposed to live even a couple of hours and so every day is an absolute miracle,” Hudson’s dad Preston Downard said.
When the Downard family received the news of Hudson’s diagnosis, they were still in the hospital after the birth of their second child.
