Earlier in August, Metro Transit’s Route D2 expanded to bring all-day bus service to the City of Verona. The route connects residents to popular destinations, with buses running every 30 minutes on weekdays and every 60 minutes on evenings and weekends.
As more Dane County residents consider commuting by bus—whether to save money, skip traffic, or live more sustainably—the Greater Madison MPO’s RoundTrip program reminds riders that there’s a reliable backup if they need to get home quickly: the Emergency Ride Home (ERH) program.
Funded by Dane County and administered by RoundTrip, the ERH program provides up to six $75 Union Cab vouchers per year to commuters ages 18 and older who regularly bike, bus, carpool, or walk to work or school.
