ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man is avoiding additional time behind bars in connection with the shooting death of his brother. Nathan Sheckler stood in front of Judge Brett Lovelace for a sentencing hearing on Monday afternoon. In February of last year, Nathan and his brother, Travis, got into a fight that resulted in Nathan shooting and killing his brother.
Arrest warrant out for Albuquerque mother accused of child abuse
At the end of May, Sheckler pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter. Judge Loveless sentenced him to 5 years of supervised probation.
