Roper St. Francis Healthcare has launched a cafe and gift shop at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina, that uses Amazon’s “Just Walk Out” AI technology, according to a Becker’s Hospital Review report.
The system allows customers to pay by scanning a credit or debit card, or an employee badge, upon entry and then leave with their purchases without having to stop at a cash register.
