Greenville County approves economic incentives for 3 projects: County Council notes

Approved: Incentives for company expansions, new project

Council gave final approval to a series of measures providing incentives for three economic development projects in the county.

The first ordinance provides a fee-in-lieu-of-tax agreement between the county and Dartpoints Operating Company LLC in exchange for a minimum investment of $104 million to expand the company’s existing data center at 78 Global Drive near the intersection of Interstate 85 and Laurens Road. The company anticipates an investment of up to $130 million for the project, which is expected to create 25 jobs.

The second set of measures involved a FILOT agreement with Span-America Medical Systems Inc. for expansion of its medical products manufacturing facility at 70 Commerce Center and placing the project within a multi-county industrial business park. The project involves an anticipated investment of up to $20 million and is expected to create 100 jobs…
