LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A 26-year-old man was in court Wednesday after he allegedly stole a truck from a man in downtown Louisville Tuesday afternoon and crashed into an LMPD cruiser during a chase in the city’s west end.
It happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday, in the 400 block of West Main Street in downtown Louisville, according to court documents. That’s where police said Briylon Tyson entered a black Toyota Tacoma through the passenger door and confronted the victim. Police said Tyson told the victim he had a gun and stated: “I’m taking this vehicle, get out.”
Officers reviewed surveillance video from the department’s Real Time Crime Center and located the truck shortly after the carjacking and attempted a traffic stop, but Tyson refused to stop and continued to flee, ignoring traffic rules and driving the wrong way on a one-way street…
