A Biting Argument: Domestic Dispute Escalates from Campground to Sheetz

BARKEYVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — Police say a Monroeville woman is facing assault charges after allegedly biting a man’s hand during a domestic dispute that began at a Venango County campground and continued during a drive along Route 8.

According to court documents, Franklin-based Pennsylvania State Police filed the following criminal charges against 25-year-old Gabrielle Rox Buckstein, of Monroeville, on August 25, in Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office:

  • Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
  • Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

According to the criminal complaint, PSP Franklin troopers were dispatched to the Sheetz store in Barkeyville Borough around 4:16 a.m. on August 24 for a report of a domestic incident.

Police say the man involved in the incident told Trooper Shawn Owens and another responding officer that the argument began at Kibbe’s Island Campground, where he and Buckstein had been staying with his family. He reportedly stated that Buckstein became upset after he declined to have sex with her and began throwing objects and yelling, the complaint notes…
