Sterling, VA – A Sterling man was taken into custody Saturday after deputies allegedly discovered a firearm, drugs, and other items during a proactive patrol in a local business parking lot.
According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, deputies encountered four males smoking in the back parking lot of a Sterling business on February 1. When approached, one subject allegedly fled on foot while appearing to reach toward his waistband as if going for a weapon. Deputies said the suspect dropped a loaded firearm during the pursuit before being taken into custody without further incident.
Authorities reported that the recovered evidence included a non-serialized P80-style 9mm pistol loaded with 17 rounds, 17 grams of marijuana products including high-THC vape devices, a digital scale with drug residue, brass knuckles, and a cell phone believed to be used for coordinating transactions…
