All 47 murals, street art removed from Tampa’s streets, officials say

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — All 47 murals and pieces of street artwork have been scrubbed from Tampa’s roads, a spokesperson for the city’s mobility department said Tuesday.

Crews began removing the art last week following direction from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). They spent Labor Day weekend painting over every remaining piece.
