Epworth Methodist Church, located at 3763 US-280 in Phenix City, welcomed Christ Herbert to the pulpit as its new senior pastor, succeeding Grant Parker, who retired.
Herbert spent his youth in Mobile before marrying his wife, Ashley, and moving to Guntersville to raise their two daughters. Herbert has not always been a pastor. With an extensive background in insurance and owning his own insurance agency, Herbert said God called him to sell his business and commit to full-time ministry.
