SPRINGBORO, Ohio — The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed that an earthquake shook southwestern Ohio on Sunday after 11:00 a.m., though few people reported feeling it.
The USGS website shows that the magnitude 2.5 quake’s epicenter was just over a mile north-northwest of Springboro, near the intersection of Wood Road and Clearcreek Franklin Road, west of I-75. The location is roughly halfway between Dayton and Cincinnati.
According to the USGS, the quake originated at a depth of more than seven and a half miles.
