IMPD makes changes to VIN inspection process

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is making changes to its VIN inspection process starting Tuesday.

According to IMPD, the department will offer VIN, or vehicle identification number, inspections at roll call locations throughout the week instead of during patrols.

Residents, nonprofit or for-profit businesses are able to bring their respective printed BMV forms and vehicles to any IMPD roll call during the following dates and times for the free inspection:…
