STRAWBERRY PLAINS, Tenn. (WATE) — A man is facing charges after he was accused of threatening Rush Strong School during a meeting with school administrators.
Brandon Dean Cole, 30, was arrested and charged with threat of mass violence on school property. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office posted that school resource officers and investigators were told that a man had made a threat to “shoot up the school” during the meeting.

Cole was arrested in Knoxville by JCSO investigators and officers from the Knoxville Police Department. He is currently being held at the justice center, awaiting a bond hearing.
