Two managers of an Acworth Dairy Queen have been charged with stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the store over the course of six months.
The suspects, Sherif Mousa and Sherif Awad, both of Acworth, are accused of generating false payroll entries and diverting thousands in company funds into a shared bank account. The funds were stolen from a Dairy Queen at 4958 Cowan Road, just off I-75, where Mousa worked as the general manager and Awad worked as the manager.
According to both suspects’ arrest warrants, between June and October of 2024, Mousa and Awad allegedly diverted Dairy Queen earnings totaling approximately $27,000 into a bank account they owned using an unauthorized payment processing terminal…
