CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — With recent federal cuts to after-school program funding, the City of Corpus Christi is stepping in to help families by offering free after-school care at four recreation centers.
The programs are offered at four rec centers– Joe Garza, Oso, Lindale and Oak Park.
They’re run by the City’s Parks and Recreation Department, and are open to children ages 6 to 16. Activities include homework help, sports, arts and crafts, nutrition lessons, and snacks. Registration is already open, and space is still available…
