ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) –The former New Mexico state lawmaker accused of swindling millions from Albuquerque Public Schools wants her federal trial pushed back again.
Sheryl Williams Stapleton is facing state and federal charges after investigators say she funneled money from the school district to a robotics company owned by a friend, Joseph Johnson. Prosecutors say that money was used for their own benefit.
