Beloved TV actress to be honored in Upstate New York next week

Throughout Wendie Malick’s impressive decades-spanning career, she’s won four Cable Ace Awards and has been nominated for a Golden Globe, two Emmys, and two SAG Awards. But what she hasn’t yet snagged is a spot in the Buffalo Broadcasting Hall of Fame. Well, until now.

The Buffalo native will be inducted into the Buffalo Broadcasting Hall of Fame on Wednesday, Sept. 10, in Williamsville, New York.

“Wendie is one of the busiest actors in Hollywood,” Steve Monaco, president of the Buffalo Broadcasters Association, said in a release per The Buffalo News. “We’ve been trying to bring her home for three years so we could induct her, and we’re very excited our schedules finally matched.”…
