S.C. launches pathway to prevent need for foster care entry

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Department of Social Services has launched a new pathway for the Parents as Teachers model under the federal Family First Prevention Services Act on a mission to prevent the need for foster care.

The new pathway is possible through federal funding that will support organizations that offer evidence-based programs aimed at preventing foster care entry.
