Lowcountry law enforcement shares Labor Day Weekend traffic enforcement stats

LOWCOUNTRY, S.C. (WCIV) — Local law enforcement agencies had a busy Labor Day Weekend and shared traffic enforcement stats Wednesday from the holiday, with over 700 citations issued and several DUI arrests made across the Lowcountry.

CHARLESTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

CCSO shared stats from their traffic unit, who issued 44 citations on Labor Day. More than half were for speeding. See below:

  • Speeding – 25
  • Tint – 5
  • No insurance – 3
  • Improper starts – 2
  • Driving under suspension – 2
  • Failure to register motor vehicle – 2
  • Careless operation – 1
  • Seatbelt violations – 1
