Hamilton County deputy sheriff indicted days after quitting

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – A deputy sheriff who resigned from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office last week is now under indictment on a felony charge, state and local records show.

Davyne Davis, 36, of Mason, faces one count of theft in office, according to a Hamilton County grand jury report released Wednesday.

He is accused of working two details on Aug. 5 and fraudulently submitting hours that resulted in the theft of $6,000, according to the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office…
