RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott confirmed Wednesday that he has received a request from Blythewood Mayor Sloan Griffin for an independent investigation into allegations made against him by the Blythewood Town Council.
Sheriff Lott said the request came in an email sent by Mayor Griffin around 12:45 p.m. The mayor asked the Richland County Sheriff’s Department (RCSD) to look into the allegations raised by council members.
