FLORENCE, Ala. — Two men have been arrested in connection with a large-scale credit card fraud scheme targeting Sam’s Club locations across the Southeast.
Florence Police Department officers responded to the Florence store on Cox Creek Parkway on September 2 after a resident reported unauthorized charges on their credit and debit cards.
Loss prevention staff identified the suspects through security footage, leading officers to a Penske box truck where the men were loading merchandise. The investigation revealed they used stolen credit card numbers and fraudulent Sam’s Club membership cards, scanning items on their phones to make purchases.
