Pawleys Island woman with gun arrested at Waccamaw High School, Georgetown County deputies say

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (WBTW) — A Pawleys Island woman was arrested Thursday and charged with having a weapon on school property, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.

Tanesha Anissa Addison Bennett, 39, tried to enter Waccamaw High School with a handgun in a fanny pack, deputies said. She was taken into custody by a school resource officer after the gun set off a security alarm after she was stopped in a secure area before gaining access to the building.
