(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has released information about the most recent arrest of an 18-year-old suspect on Aug. 22.
CSPD’s Metro Burglary Unit obtained a warrant for a suspect who was a minor while investigating a series of burglaries, vehicle thefts, and weapons offenses in late June. On July 15, the CSPD Burglary Unit sought a warrant for the same suspect, but for a different car theft. The suspect was served during a court appearance, but was released on a personal recognizance bond.
On Aug. 20, CSPD detectives found probable cause to charge the same minor with another car theft. They received a warrant, and an increased bond of $50,000 was issued after the suspect, now 18 years old at this point, was brought into custody and moved to the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center…
