Village Artist Market opens new space to support Helene-affected artists

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A new art space at the Village Artists Market will showcase work from local and regional artists impacted by Helene.

Village Artists Market representatives say their goal is to rebuild the region’s creative spirit by offering a platform for artists.

The market’s owner says the space was created after Helene washed out her office.

“I am so grateful for the community of artists in Asheville and the kindness and the supportiveness of this community and the way that all of these artists have come together and kind of cheered me on through making this happen, so it’s been really rewarding and wonderful,” said Naomi Duncan, Village Artist Market owner…
