Cuyahoga Community College eliminating 30 associate degree programs

CLEVELAND — Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C) will be eliminating 30 associate degree programs, including 15 apprenticeship programs, the college confirmed in a press release Wednesday.

They said these programs need to be cut within the upcoming academic year and that the programs result in “fewer than five degrees per year over any three-year period.”

“Historically, Tri-C has sunset programs with low enrollment and graduation rates as needed with minimal impact to students, faculty and staff,” the release reads. “The College relied on that process to meet Ohio Senate Bill 1 requirements, which introduced new rigor to how the College must eliminate programs annually.”…
