Rhode Island’s risk level for West Nile virus remains ‘high’

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A mosquito sample collected in East Providence on Aug. 25 tested positive for West Nile virus.

The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM) collected mosquito samples across the state that were then tested by the Department of Health in the state’s laboratories.
