WALBRIDGE, OH (WTRF) — An Ohio police officer has been fired after allegedly showing up drunk to a service call late last month, according to WTVG
Michael Ervin was removed from duty following an August 23 incident in which he responded to a late-night call from residents who were concerned about a possibly open vehicle and potential break in at their home. When Ervin arrived, the couple suspected he was impaired and contacted police dispatch.
Additional officers from Walbridge, along with units from nearby departments and emergency services, were sent to the scene. Walbridge Police Chief Ken Campbell and Sgt. Bob Miller gave Ervin a portable breath test, which showed a blood alcohol level of 0.168%—more than twice the legal limit in Ohio…
