Student Detained for Terroristic Threats at Royse City High School

Royse City, TX – On Thursday morning, September 4, 2025, the Royse City Police Department detained a 14-year-old student from Royse City High School for making terroristic threats inside a classroom setting.

According to the official media release, the student allegedly threatened to harm a teacher. While no physical violence occurred and no weapon was present, the situation was taken seriously. School Security and School Resource Officers immediately intervened and detained the student without incident.

While in custody, the student reportedly made an additional statement threatening the safety of the school itself. As a result, the student was charged with two counts of Terroristic Threat, both classified as Class A Misdemeanors. The individual was transported to a juvenile detention facility…
