New Orleans man faces narcotics charges following traffic stop: SBPSO

ST. BERNARD PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A New Orleans man was arrested and is facing narcotics charges after a traffic stop, according to the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office.

On Thursday, the SBSO reported 28-year-old Dan Green Jr. of New Orleans was booked into the St. Bernard Parish Prison. He faces the following charges:

  • Careless operation of a vehicle
  • Flight from an officer
  • Aggravated obstruction of a highway
  • Obstruction of justice
  • Resisting an officer
  • Possession with the intent to distribute marijuana
  • Possession with the intent to distribute Tapentadol
  • Possession of MDMA (Ecstacy)
  • Possession of fentanyl
  • Possession of Lorazepam
  • Possession of Promethazine
  • Possession of a firearm while in possession of controlled dangerous substance
  • Convicted felon in possession of a firearm
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

During the investigation, SBSO agents also said they found a Springfield .9mm firearm.

According to the SBSO, a criminal background check was conducted on Green, showing he was on probation and has prior convictions, including possession with intent to distribute cocaine, marijuana, amphetamine, fentanyl and Alprazaolam…
