Two hurt in early morning crash near Bel Aire

BEL AIRE, Kan. (KSNW) — Two people were seriously injured in a crash Thursday morning on Kansas Highway 254 in northeast Sedgwick County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says the collision happened just after 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of K-254 and Rock Road, about a mile east of North Woodlawn in Bel Aire.

Troopers said a 16-year-old boy from Andover tried to turn onto Rock Road in front of a 55-year-old Michigan woman driving east on K-254. Their vehicles collided, sending one into the highway and the other into a ditch…
